  1. A third possibility occurs to me. The story being printed and then being quickly taken down seems very like a ploy Goebbels once used to mislead the allies. I suspect the Kremlin want Ukraine to go all in on the bridgehead and advance so as to free Russian artillery from counter battery fire and let then knock seven bells out elite Ukrainian formations crowded into the bridgehead.
