  3.  @garethamery3167  It is very clear to me, as it was intended to be, which war Anders is talking about, and which platform. It just so happens that Denmark was instrumental in getting newly independent Ukraine involved in peacekeeping and other military missions all across the globe, and Denmark did that in order to speed Ukraine's path to Nato membership.

  4. Are the majority of billionaires populist? That would seem counter intuitive as they are by definition an elite. Are most of the super rich even neutral? I would say most of them that do donate do so to socially progressive causes

  5. ​ @karenrobertsdottir4101  One could argue that Twitter in its pre Musk heyday did too well fore outre single issue causes with one Tweeter's outrage being retweeted massively. Ezra Kien said Obame was able to keep those factions under control but his successors could not. Lind thinks Twitter's autodidacts are likely going to do similar damage to the right as the non profits did to the left.

In Lind's Dems agenda was driven by non profits, who are not about winning elections. Hence powerful single issue progressives in the Dems and the trans issue being pushed too far in tail wagging the dog style. Trump's people were reportedly stunned by how effective their trans issue ads were.

  9.  @garethamery3167  Anders is talking about the changes at Twitter and Twitter changed because it was bought by a man whose has said he is going to destroy the trans virus because he lost a son to it. Well, I provided a link to a conversation between couple of reputable commentators whose talk was taken up by the NYT, and in it Michael Lind says that the same kind of damage done to Kamala by trans Tweeters and defund the police types in their heyday on Twitter is now going to be done by right wing autodidacts on Twitter to Trump. That is looking to the future but I think it is on topic.

  10. Re an algorithm allowing bots to run wild promoting CIA biowarfare labs in Ukraine stories, Yup, that is bad housekeeping by Twitter. However, it must never be forgotten that spreading Trump's assertion while resident that the pandemic came from a Chinese lab was outright banned by social media on the grounds it was 'fake news' or disinformation. That ban was then quietly withdrawn. Quite a few people are saying they now think the explanation Trump subscribed to was correct. Obviously I am not a so schizy enough to believe in CIA labs in Ukraine, and I am pretty sure the COVID pathogen was accidently created and released unawares through a series of bad biosafety mistakes.

It got completely oit of control and was electorally irresponsible because as Michael Lind said to Klein, US elections are won by 'Big Tent' coalition parties. The Dem;s candidate for pres was espousing crazy stuff as a result (biological males in school female sports teams and defund the police).
