Drones. China has huge manufacturing complexes, and could produce an overwhelming number of drones.

Silly ending. Russia being driven back to its original 2013 borders was never expected by any serious analyst. The Russians are going to take further large parts of Ukraine, then there will be a deal.

An invasion can only really work if it comes as a surprise. The Russians wanted the invasion to come as a surprise and so they attacked with too small a force. You can have a big invasion or a surprise one. Not both. 'Further mobilised troops become inefficient'? Yes but its not about winning efficiently any more. For Russia a complete final 'true' victory is no longer attainable: a strategic success in getting to the Dnieper and them consolidating behind that formidable obstacle and incorporating East Ukraine into Russia is what is on the Kremlin's mind. They will have to be quick because the attrition of Ukrainian equipment at the current rate will mean that Ukraine will be entirely refitted with superior western arms by next year. At that point Russia will be faced with losing Donbass and even Crimea. which pace Binkvov will in my opinion face any conceivable occupant of the Kremlin with an unbearable humiliation.

Heavy artillery especially '3D' targeting as pioneered by the British in WW1 in what wins wars. The Allies failed with tanks. Blitzkrieg was a myth, (Mosier). WW1 saw the emergence of Stormtroop tactics. The Wagner assaults are super slow stormtroop tactics with the addition of ruthless use of expendable reconnaissance in force by convict units.

@timothymcbride9484 They are within striking distance, and forcing good units to be diverted there. Nice return on the Belregod raids, not.

It takes two to tango and Ukraine has no nuclear weapons, so it would be necessary for America to start a tit for a tat that was not on any Nato country. They have said they would not do that.. America is not going to put Russia in the position of choosing between Crimea or nuking the Ukrainian army, so Ukraine will never be given the wherewithal to take Crimea. The US strategy is for Russia to get fed up and quit. To help discourage Russia everyone is being dragooned into saying that Ukraine will roll back Russia very soon now. Not going to happen, not because America does not have stuff like ATACMS that could be fatal to the Russian bases in Crimea but because the US does not want to panic the Kremlin into drastic measures of a theatre thermonuclear device or three.

@jevinliu4658 Yes they were caught off guard because the Russian invasion force seemed insufficient and was assumed to be sabre rattling. Kllitchko the mayor of Kyiv said President Zelensky was not expecting an invasion and failed to prepare for it until the last weeks. Earlier preparations could have really hammered the Russians. This is why they preferred to not have ponderous preparations, and catch Zelensky with his pants down.

@HuskyOwner-bl1jf That is very exaggerated But the US would have to do something..

@conflictclips Difficult to say but I think it would be chosen as a demonstration of Washington's resolve but hot one that Russia might feel obliged to go tit for tat in response to,

@mobiusflammel9372 It was suggested last year that massed drones would be the best way to defend Taiwan, but China using an massed suicide ones in attack on air and sea assets would be an awfully daunting prospect. Taiwan lacks strategic space and population. soould require an army of US troops there to defeat an invasion, if it got ashore. I think that the rapid development of a drone saturated low level airspace in the combat zones of Ukraine will make the US very chary of putting troops on a battlefield under constant surveillance and targeting. The American Navy must have taken note of how the Black Sea Fleet has been totally nullified The Air Force are also worried about their planes and carriers, given the use of drones to mask cruise missile attacks. China is the one benefitting from the rapid development of cheap drones, and they have the productive capacity to have unlimited numbers; they'll use surveillance ones as a series of meshed swarms in overwhelming numbers and massed attacks of low tech suicide ones to complement their high tech shire bases missiles.

Ever heard of Halford Makinder? There are no winners, Everyone (not just Russia) ought to have thought of that beforehand. And there were NATO member countries holding military exercises in Ukraine including Crimea over twenty years ago. The sides were already formed up back then.

@baltulielkungsgunarsmiezis9714 Russia has always been more of an artillery army than a tank one.

@baha3alshamari152 That is a theory the fly boys of every country will be supporting.
