  18. American surveillance is omniscient and setting up these killings of generals / admirals and their staff's and the surviving ones know it. The Black Sea Fleet HQ barely qualifies as not Russia proper. Ukraine is deliberately and imperceptibly inveigling the US into being complicit in progressive escalation. Are the Russian commanders going to to be less likely to support strikes on US surveillance or use of a theater thermonuclear weapon on the battlefield as a result? Or, are they going to support such escalation out of fear that they'll be killed unless the US is persuaded to step back?

There is an existing Civil War in Ukraine, with a large Russian speaking minority in the West so there will be no insurgency there. Nato waved their d**k in Russia's face and counted on it to remain passive rather than go full fatalistic Ruski. They counted wrong. The USSR withdrew from Austria and Finland on the understanding the were neutral. Russia will do the same in the Ukraine. Or the non Russian speaking part of it at least.
