@jeremiahharrington2380 Lmao common defiantard L lost the contract due to Boeing’s incompetence and not even having the thing flying while Bell had the Valor not only flying but performing almost problem free

@Matt-yg8ub Yes it can autorotate, both engines are connected to both rotors. So if one end ones fails the other automatically powers the other rotor. That will allow the aircraft to make a safe landing. Can’t deny that it is a big target, but it’s also got the maneuverability and agility to match. The Defiant is also a massive target as well.

Good to know that the Army procurement office doesn’t pick things based on looks. Defiant blows chunks

Smoothbrain Sikorsky is an American company, founded by a Russian immigrant.

Also the Defiant sucks monkeycock. Didn’t even have an engine finalized and was way to late for testing.

Laughs in Mass Kamov losses😂 Cringy Russians need to sit down before we get involved even more just to bitch slap the Mongol wannabes all the way back to Vladivostok

Fucking Airwolf theme just popped back into my head years of absence

Ahh the classic “tilt-rotor bad and dangerous because v22!” Truth of the matter is the V-280 is safer. If one engine fails in Heli mode the other engine can power the other prop, obviously you aren’t flying back to base but it’s enough to get a soft-ish landing.
1
@martinpugh9700 This one can. Both engines are interconnected. So if one engine fails the other can partially power the other rotor long enough to make a semi-soft crash landing.

@scenicdepictionsofchicagolife holy shit it’s rare to see someone else end their rants with thanks for coming to me Ted talk” I do the same shit
1
@johnnyllooddte3415 and you have a source for that?

great another one of you reformer type morons. No matter how many times we show you the proof you just bury your head in the sand like a Seamen buried his head up his buddy’s ass. The Valor can Autorotate, since the engines aren’t tilting just the props. This allows both engines to be connected. The V-22 literally has the same if not less amount of crashes as the Blackhawk. Finally, the early crashes of the Ospreys were the result of poor training and designs flaws that were hammered out really early on. The Valor is just a much better V-22 and has none of the same problems. The Defiant is slower and has half the range.

and Russia is already losing them to Manpads 💪🥴
1
I assume your a former marine eh? No one else would be as pig headed and retarded about the V-22 as a leatherneck
1
@andrewsuryali8540 Well yeah, although the high losses are just the result of poor Russian tactics when it comes to their usage and the limited utility of helicopters in flat open terrain with no real cover.
1
Let them copy this The defiant is garbage anyway
1
You’ll just buy and then dump some shitty British choppers again right 😂
1
@danielwhyatt3278 You are from the UK, that explains it. Westland was never really good at making helicopters.
1
@bl8danjil The valor can autorotate, and it will also have the advantage of having lift from its wing nacelles
1
Having a diverse fleet is not a good idea. Unless you can somehow have all or most of the aircraft share critical components.
1
If they wanted to win that contract they should have had an engine finalized and had the damn thing airworthy first. Not to mention the insane amount of problems that the defiant has when compared to the valiant.
1
Uhh, mechanical complexity, much less range and speed as well as carrying capacity. It’s more suitable for an Attack/Recon role rather than a Troop transport/Utility.
