  3.  @gibu002  but then it's not every frigates job to protect the aircraft carriers is it? There are a lot more roles in the navy, both at home and around the world, than just watching over aircraft carriers or even hunting submarines. The terms putting all your eggs in one basket, jack of all trades master of none and overkill all come to mind in these financially unstable times and numbers have a quality of their own ie 5-6 T31s or 2 T26s, either either not both as even MOD funding has it's limits.
