@raymondquinton5960 @45 of the best and obviously flyable aircraft were taken to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan by their Afghan pilots, many were actually already destroyed in the fighting and considering a good number of the 200 were already in differing levels of dis-repair by their own admission exactly how many aircraft do you think the Taliban have operational? So far I have seen 1 blackhawk? Hardly what I would call an Air force and tbh I give even that 3-6 months before it is grounded without proper and on going maintenance.

That's what all countries do when the host nation has turned to shit, shut their embassies and evacuate their people. Don't feel special, happens in shitholes all around the world, no one is coming back to save you this time.
5
Evacuate their embassy staff, no huge secret champ. Did you really think.600 troops were returning to re-take the country??
5
The Afghani army outnumbered the Taliban, had the training and the equipment and still gave in to the taliban, literally, and people still try and blame America? Are you actually serious right now!
5
@Alikhan-wh4yg but they didn't, their goal was to root out al Qaeda and topple the taliban government, they did that a long time ago. Anything after that was just nation building and helping the new Afghan govt and military establish itself, and everyone knew that was not going to go on forever so is literally upto Afghanistan now and pretty much has been for the past decade or so.
4
The Afghan army helped Taliban take Afghanistan.
4
Perhaps they could hide away for 20 years as well?
3
Sachchidanand Singh your cap locks is on.
3
@raymondquinton5960 soooo, you don't know? Got it.
3
@raymondquinton5960 oh your close friend? ahh classic, well then like I said how many do you think they have, remember, the original question? The numbers I quoted are public knowledge, no secret friends here just a little thing called the internet for all to see but hey, why would I have any reason to doubt your close friend right?
3
And Afghanistan got nothing, because they are useless and can't do anything for themselves, probably expect some other country to give them medals and then blame them when they can't look after them...sound about right?
3
@gunwright3481 "them" being flown? So far I have seen 1 blackhawk that they have been using for joyrides and abit of PR flag waving, what are these others you speak of?
3
@ggurwlcom420 exactly, hilarious, I was thinking more Fred Flinstone meets the Muppets in tropic thunder but in black and white, but that'll do as well.
2
Like Taliban did to Pakistan?
2
Ahmed Hussain haha defeated? They literally just hid in a cave for 20 years and waited for the Americans to get bored and go home and now they are all of a sudden brave again! Stop fanboying champ. Don't worry, the US is still laughing all the way to the bank and probably will be for the next 20 years as well
2
@Strawbberrypiee haha you really believing the hype huh? you are literally just quoting the total figures for the entire ANA and Afghan air force PRIOR to the Taliban takeover and before US support ceased when it is already well known most of the air force is either disabled or in Uzbekistan so why do you keep insisting Taliban have 200 aircraft?? They have at least 70 wrecks at Kabul airport alone and so far I have seen 1 flying blackhawk doing the rounds and good luck keeping that maintenance hog in the air, I give it 6 months then they will probably have to switch over to those fighter jets you keep mentioning, which is strange considering the Afghan air force did not have any as of the takeover/rollover other than the turboprop tucanos and a couple of decorative l39 jet trainers which are hardly jet fighters by any stretch of the imagination. To put it into perspective even their neighbours would hardly be concerned if they did get them flying never mind anyone else.
2
They won't, from the equipment left at Kabul international airport. You do not seriously think the 3000 US soldiers sent back into Kabul airport were just gonna pop around the military bases, outposts and checkpoints of Afghanistan (the country) and a put a round into the engine block of 8500 humvees and remove the firing pins from all 110,000 M16s and M4s of the ANA, ANP and NDS in a week??? Somehow I think they had other things to do that week...
1
@patriotenfield3276 Haha what?? They don't have JLTVs! I bet you and the guy who keeps spouting Taliban have warehouses full of strykers and M1 Abrams have the same "close friend" who knows as much right??
1
Yea because they do not want to poke the tiger again and go back into hiding for another 20 years.
1
@yu-jd5jg oh yea of course, every army has its ill-disciplined dipshits within it's ranks, I actually expect the Taliban has more than it's fair share tbh but the Taliban hierarchy definately does not want to re-awaken the tiger this close to victory.
1
@kkklover89 haha many oppose most wars America are involved with, that doesn't mean they will just sit back and watch anything happen to evacuating Americans, if I was to.give Americans anything it is that they are a fiercely patriotic nation. They will level Kabul and still be home for dinner and Taliban will need a new palace from day 1. And just in case they thought it was mistake the Americans will level the next one as well just so they know they have been understood.
1
Because they were not US equipment they were ANA equipment. The US didn't lend the Afghan military all its equipment to use just until they left.
1
They've already given Mexico blackhawk helicopters, be careful, all the experts on here will start asking why the US left so much equipment in Mexico as they do not quite understand the concept...
1
And an AK-47 is made in Russia, so what?
1
@ggurwlcom420 what movies are you watching champ? If they were going to make a movie about this then it would probably be a comedy anyway, because Afghanistan is a joke.
1
@arjunpandav7077 funny how everyone predicted this was going to happen, now. Pretty convenient really.
1
Advanced?? compared to what exactly? who even??
1
@pz2818 so you suggest they just take all the ANAs weapons and vehicles (notice I said ANAs weapons and vehicles?) off them on essentially a hunch and leave them defenceless? And fight with what? Bow and arrows??
1
Joy chowdury why would there have been artillery at Kabul international airport?
1
@pz2818 Haha sure thing champ sure thing...my country??
1
So what exactly are they going to do? Drive around the planet in humvees wreaking havoc with their M16s, helmets and matching uniforms?? Dam, watch out world, here come the Taliban!!
1
@Vysair had, before the US destroyed it, now they have scrap.
1
Just like they helped with spare parts for all their Russian gear? Just whip some up at the spare parts factory right?? Easy peasy???
1
Just wait for next year's parade, they will be back in their trusty hiluxs because all the humvees would have broken down and the blackhawk would have crashed into a mountain.
1
@John Hero haha you literally just quoted what the Afghan military had BEFORE the Taliban take over not what they have left. Have you ever wondered why you only ever see 1 blackhawk flying around, this entire time, 1 blackhawk...You are literally dreaming if you think they have all of that. They do have a lot of wrecked aircraft that's for sure.
1
@Dhksksjjsjjs are they hiding the rest? So where are they then? All footage is of a single blackhawk, so where is the footage of the other 200 aircraft? Taliban being modest huh
1
@John Hero Haha when was the last time you "fixed" a C-RAM out of interest?
1
@lumapas but the Phillipines have more blackhawks and mi-17s that actually work and are flyable, bit of a difference...
1
@John Hero haha are you serious? You may actually want to look up the indonesian military before making such a wild claim!
1
@walterdayrit675 Haha the Taliban have better equipment than the Phillipines?? What Phillipines are you looking at?
1
@Dhksksjjsjjs that wasn't the question champ, they video everything else, literally, so again, where are all these working blackhawks? You don't need a pilot to make a video of blackhawks sitting on the tarmac, in the hanger or even sitting in a field? I have seen lots of footage of wrecked blackhawks sitting on the tarmac and destroyed blackhawks sitting in hangers though...
1
@walterdayrit675 where's the modern stuff? This is just some foreign news agency quoting what wikipedia said they had BEFORE the Taliban takeover, not during or after. 85 billion "worth" of junk is still junk, you just have 85 billion worth...
1
@Dhksksjjsjjs because they are showing the world they have "all these", literally putting on parades to show "all these", so again where are "all these" blackhawks you seem to know all about? Haha not my Biden govt champ, I'm not even American, yet another thing you are just guessing huh?
1
@Dhksksjjsjjs oh was weeks, now months, all within 2 minutes, it's getting longer and longer, should be upto years by the next post? you are just making this shit up as you go champ, literally. And I hope no one outside the US is dumb enough to believe your made up BS!
1
@John Hero a simple Google search alone shows Indonesia has a bigger and better equipped and trained military than Afghanistsan, even the old fully equipped Afghanistan military. You guys are really talking up the Taliban since they came out of the stone age and stepped into the 90s but don't get carried away!
1
@walterdayrit675 such as?
1
@walterdayrit675 yea upgrade for the Taliban, but that was not hard. That is just standard in any regular military, even the poorer ones. The US kitted the ANA and air force relatively basically on purpose, and for very good reasons, exactly what has happened being the main one. This is all basic kit, even the blackhawks were UH-60As, the very first model from the 80s. Whilst they have a lot of kit it's all outdated and literally the only good it is for is themselves, against each other, if they can keep what they have left going that is.
1
Not attempting very hard?
1
The surrounding what?
1
That's just normal humvees...
