@cplcabs defeated? Who did they defeat? The Americans just left, this has been the plan for years, you seriously did not think America was going to stay in Afghanistan forever did you?

@cplcabs well actually, no, the "objective" was to root out Al Qaeda, topple the taliban government and prevent terrorist attacks against the USA and it's allies from Afghanistan, but your version sounds just spiffy as well. America and it's allies spent 20 years advising/teaching/training the Afghan army to be self sufficient and stand on it's own feet, which was always the plan, always the plan, so not sure why everyone assumes they were staying forever? You can teach an army to fish, not constantly supply them fish, and if they can't master the art of fishing then that's not an American problem but an Afghani one. The fact Afghanistan cannot take care of itself is not anyone else's issue, it's theirs.

@cplcabs yea they did , so you can figure out the US has finally pulled out of Afghanistan and that the Taliban is making a major reappearance yet cannot correlate the 2?? I would get all brave and take on the world as well if the world literally up and left, like I said they can only help the Afghanis so much and I would say if they (the Afghanis) cannot sort it out after 20 years then it is pretty obvious no amount of training, equipment or funding is going to solve this. The Taliban regime was toppled and an "Afghan" govt is in power, what happens from now on is not America's (or anyone elses) problem except Afghanistans. They are literally there own worst enemy, cue the civil war.

@cplcabs fighting? I don't consider IEDing a few convoys now and then and suicide bombing a couple of markets fighting. So every news agency on the planet is exaggerating Taliban "gains" are they? They had all that territory this whole time? Seems to be news to most, Afgan army included. Still not sure why everyone believes the US was staying forever, even I knew years ago they were pulling out, as was always the plan, tbh I am surprised they stayed this long so I am struggling to figure out why anyone is shocked they eventually pulled out. Well has anyone flown any planes into any high rise buildings in the US lately? Perhaps the Taliban are just having a break huh? Can't find any planes perhaps? Been saving up all their attacks for the past 20 years maybe?

@cplcabs a lot of people have champ, we were there for a whole decade, does not make us experts on Afghanistan, just means we were there for a decade, just like we have worked with Americans a lot does not make us experts on US policy, but let me guess, somehow you're different.

That would literally be too easy. So since you are obviously so high up the food chain answer my question re the UK then? Funny how you know US policy but somehow did not know they were drawing down and leaving Afghanistan, I knew years ago and I didn't even need a translator, how smart am I??

Oh, so what you're saying is the UK just abandoned their ally then because it was not their war? @cplcabs And since we're back on the horse you may as well look up the UKs objectives in Afghanistan since you seem to believe you cannot leave a country until you achieve objectives, by the sounds you might be surprised. Let's just say pot kettle?

@cplcabs ohhhh, so you do understand the US was leaving Afghanistan, even told people they were leaving, wow that took awhile to get across. So the UK somehow knew this in 2014? That's some great crystal balling considering it is now 2021?
