so turn it off then, but then not really the point is it. pretty sure it will still drive (ie main job) if the reverse camera or inclinometer does not work...that's like saying air con, LED lighting or a CD player will adversely affect the use of a vehicle.

What's complicated?

@motolifealways mist of this "tech" is merely monitoring and situational awareness devices, nice to haves but not need to haves, so if it does ever go down then it just reverts back to basics ie you don't stop driving because your fuel gauge stops working as it does not kill the engine you just be aware the fuel gauge does not work and either keep topped up or plan accordingly and fix at the next convenient time, not exactly a game changer.

@gcalfuture3119 I have all that and more in my truck, tech has been around for decades welcome to the future....you are just as likely to get a flat tyre so are wheels bad news? Even if any of that "fails" the veh is still driveable just less comfortable/adjustable, like a fulltime humvee. These are not new features, just new compared to a 1980s era hummer, days of sitting on blocks are over.

@gcalfuture3119 if you drive over a landmine no amount of simplicity is going to help you. Survivability is more in terms of the occupants not necessarily the actual vehicle and you are more likely to blow off an entire wheel set rather than just a subset on that wheel. Even if a landmine did somehow just target the height adjustment portion of a wheel assembly and it was still able to drive then all that would happen is the vehicle will drop to it's lowest setting anyway, still driveable just uncomfortable. And yes I have driven in combat situations, more likely to become stuck in mud then have a particular feature ie height adjustment taken out by combat action that would not disable any vehicle otherwise.

Oh yea? What movie is that in?

That's abit like saying an 18 year old would shoot himself or his mate in the foot with his service rifle in 5 minutes...yea, he could.

Fau Q I've owned diesels, never had an issue, probably more reliable than some petrol powered vehicles I've owned (perhaps a reason alot of commercial operators use them) and there are numerous diesel mechanics around in fact a whole industry depends on them ie trucking world. It's just another engine not some mystical force from the future.
