  6. They disabled all THEIR equipment at THEIR bases and Kabul international when they pulled out, this is the Afghan armys equipment and the Afghan army was pretty big when it fell over, just like how Afghanistan, the country, is a pretty big place...

  9. Should probably pay closer attention then. It clearly states they flew from the base, in helicopters, to Kabul international, to catch the planes. The planes are leaving Kabul international not the base.

People seem to be overestimating the Taliban technical capability, it will make some good junk to sit there next to all the other junk with no maintenance, parts or pilots to even get it flying but sure does make a juicey headline!

  25. It's no secret the Taliban wants America out of Afghanistan so why exactly are people assuming Americans, or anyone for that matter, are trapped? The issue is the sheer numbers trying to leave at once and the limited flights available, a simple math problem not a Taliban problem but I guess that is not as controversial as imminent threat theories.

Actually the US wanted Afghanistan to take care of itself, why wouldn't they? All the benefits and none of the hassle, was not Americas job to hold territory in Afghanistan, was Afghanistans and the fact the Afghan people in general are about as useful as a wet paper bag and crumble like house made of straw is another story. Ahh the old lithium chestnut, well at least that's a little more creative than the old oil scenario, beautiful story though, just beautiful.
