@skyrasmus4760 People no matter their race take land from others, those that take over lands call whoever they take over whatever they want. This is not "imperialistic" but is just the nature of taking land. Edit: If they had a word that would be used for all people that didn't come to Americas via ship or plane then I believe it would be used. I guess they call themselves by their individual tribe like a person would their country, while they may also call themselves by the larger group (Indians) just to save the expliantion amount their tribe. Even tho they never saw themselves as one big group until a completely different culture found them.
