  4.  @Ss23803  He's actually done quite a lot wrong, at least on the business side - too much to list here. He was even taken to court by the US government. As for the "philanthropy", it's a tax write off in the States. He makes far more than he givea away. I don't think he has anything to be smug about. His solutions are ugly and dangerous. His mask slipped when he was asked about subsidizing shots for the Third World in a British interview, although he backtracked shortly afterwards. He has enough money to do that, if so wished.

  5.  @MrErick1160  None of which is true. The real reason is that he is rich, and of above average intelligence. Most of his solutions benefit some people economically, and are inconsistent.

  6.  @Ss23803  That doesn't matter... Regarding charity, Jesus tells the story of the Widow's Mite, where she gave a tiny coin, because she was poor and that was all she had. He says that was worth more than what the rich people gave. Now whatever one thinks of Jesus, he was right here, since the widow gave far more in terms of what she had. BG doesn't give away that much money proportionately, for the simple reason that he makes far more. What he gives away comes with strings attached. He uses that money to buy influence (hence you see him here) and to make more money (his climate work is linked into his investments in renewables). It really doesn't matter where the bug came from in some ways, BG has exploited and directed this situation. The WHO takes advice off him and national governments. His solutions have involved increased ςεnsοrshιρ/crushing independent voices, monetising the treatments, linking them to digital ΙD systems (I am referring to mobile phones here, not any alleged thing in the body), and economic warfare on small business. At the same time he has been keen to keep international travel going, which is complete hypocrisy in this situation. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could kick him.

  7.  @MrErick1160  It's completely relevant - who gets the contracts for the treatments, how that is costed and funded etc? Also, if more stuff is done online or electronically, he gets richer. As for the exchange of goods and services, this has been largely halted, causing some businesses to go bankrupt while select companies profit.

  8.  @MrErick1160  Actually yes, he has already. He was asked whether Indian plants and African countries could manufacture their own or get them at a reduced/subsidised price and he said no.

  9.  @absolutium  Yes, but also because he pushes himself forward. He bought himself a TED talk, which was the launch of his mainstream career as epidemic spokesman. The man's wealth is a primary driver here. He has no medical qualifications, and isn't even a graduate of any particular scientific discipline.

  10.  @absolutium  He pays for other people to conduct research, which he then presents in such a way to benefit himself econonically. This bug is giving no indication that it will make us extinct, in fact it kills a fraction of what malaria does every year.

Charitable donations are also tax deductible under US law unlike some countries. Either you are being paid to write his hagiography, or you aren't. I'm not sure which is worse. He is and remains one of the richest people in the world, and he continues to invest millions each year in non-charitable projects, so he's hardly going broke as you claim. Bill Gates has regularly lied about aspects of his life and that is provable. For a start (like Elon Musk), thirty or years ago he used to try and claim he had come up from notning, which is a total lie as both sides of his family were already multimillionaires in the seventies. His business practices at Microsoft were so corrupt even the US government hauled him in (look it up). He also ripped pff the inventors of various things, including the Helvetica Font, which he had an inferior copy made of called Arial. He is not medically qualified in any way whatsoever. In fact the man never even got a. degree (excluding honorary ones given to him later in life). I notice you drag out the "conspiracy theorist" tag - maybe you should look a bit closer to home before you make nonsensical claims about him "literally" giving his wealth away. The man has at least six private jets, and who knows how many homes in several countries, and makes major business investments every year, yet you claim he's giving it away. Jesus wept.

  13.  @yingyang7666  Disprovable on a number of scores - here are two for you: * Microsoft is not and never has been the sole originator of software, in fact it frequently plagiarises it or copies it from elsewhere (as happened with DOS and Netscape Navigator etc). * Mr. Bates doesn't even come up with every programme from Microsoft - other employees do almost all of that. Are you being paid by him to write this? If not, you should be. The man's a thief, a provable liar and bad in both business and his personal life. (Which is beginning to emerge.) p.s. I hope your name is deliberate. There is only one "g" in Yin Yang.
