@_a_5494 No, they really aren't. A lot of grunts in the military. I could tell Tyler was a bit above that though!

@RoofTopFocus American infantry might, but that's partly because in your country it's a way for poorer people to pay for college. But that's not the case here, because tertiary education is already largely paid for by the state through a grant system. Oh and only the US does ASVAB so there is that.

@taylormacneil2833 Being a marine is easily the toughest job out of all these. I would love to see Tyler and Maria exchange jobs for a week. I know who would come off better.

@_a_5494 There is no scientifically recognised way to measure "emotional intelligence". Even so, the individual who banged on about it the most here seemed to have the least. I suspect if you were to go down this road, Sean might be among the highest, followed by ?Kayleigh (blonde woman). Maria last of course.

@kelvintran448 In Vietnam they were so desperate that they recruited people who were dubbed "McNamara's Morons". In pc language that means they had "learning difficulties". It was commented on at the time. No you don't need to be intelligent to be a grunt, you need to be tough and obey orders. Little more. The brighter ones like Tyler will end up being promoted.
