Comments by "Thurso Berwick" (@thursoberwick1948) on "What Really Happened to Amelia Earhart?" video.
There is some good evidence she landed near a small island and starved to death there. Someone found old pictures of what looked like her plane in a lagoon near one.

He needs to get fresher topics. I'm seeing him retreading topics which a lot of other channels have covered on here.

@kingkai5821 I find it hilarious that we refer to indigenous people in this context... My ancestors lived in this part of Europe before that part of the Pacific was even inhabited by anyone, but apparently we're not indigenous.

You'd really need to recover it for DNA and fingerprinting... However, I suspect it was a) rusty and b) covered in other people's fingerprints when recovered.

Not this again.

@NotDandyYew It's just a pretentious way of describing tribal peoples.

@MarkWTK He'll never run out of topics, just imagination. I can think of tonnes of things with barely any videos on them. Without looking, I can't imagine (m)any have done a video on the Turriff Cow (Turra Coo) which became a cause celebre in its time. A Scottish farmer went bankrupt, and it cost more to recover the cow than it was worth. It launched a souvenir industry - plates etc, had songs written about it and there were cartoons in national newspapers. It is on Wikipedia, but there are hundreds of things you can get off there. Probably more interesting than the cow!

@dankone3 Americans (US) think they're the only people on the internet. Or behave that way.

@benda5664 Some of them are more open-minded. They do try to make everywhere like the US. I remember one saying to me when I was over in Germany, "These cookies aren't like American ones." I just replied, "I know... They're delicious!" Most of the Germans there got my joke. 😉 Don't get me wrong there are some good things about the USA. We could do with a proper Bill of Rights where I live.

@winnifredforbes1114 He also can't help covering topics dozens of other Youtube channels have covered. He used to be good at providing unusual content... These days he just recycles other people's content - some of the info on the Pacific here is recycled from the Real Life Lore channel for example.

@Kuwaitisnot_adeployment Simon Whistler? He's awful. There are so many mistakes in his videos too, but it's all said so pompously.

@Kuwaitisnot_adeployment Glad it's not just me. Well, at least it's you, me and a friend of mine. A lot of howlers in his videos. Thoughty2 is actually more accurate i like Tom Scott though, a lot of work goes into his videos.

I hate that phrase "badass"... It makes me think more of smelly βοττοms than amazing people.

@808bigisland Some islands were not settled until 1200 or after.

@novelas3536 Not talking about civilisation level. Just saying how ridiculous it is to describe one lot of people as indigenous when they've been somewhere for a few hundred years, but not another lot who've been there for thousands of years. People frequently mention Australia or the Americas in this context. They have been inhabited for tens of thousands of years (by mainstream reckoning) whereas parts of Europe have had people in them for TEN times that amount of time.

@xtr.7662 Are you assuming the gender of the bones? How did xe identify?

He's been doing a lot of retreads recently... His nuclear boy scout video had already been covered by a dozen other Youtube channels.

@yellow4602 "What really happens to a rock on a table?" That depends on how much the table rocks, and whether the rock asks the table to chair a motion.
