@briansteele5959 I love Friends will be Friends. The fact they could record this and that song around the same time shows versatility.

@MIMALECKIPL It is heavier than a lot of mainstream metal at the time. (Not thrash and death, but those weren't completely mainstream yet.)

It sounds very similar to Stuart Adamson of the Skids and Big Country.

@MushroomVortex Rap/Hip hop was big in the eighties.

@briansteele5959 If you go back to the 70s and 80s, you didn't have to be that heavy to be described as metal. Groups like Def Leppard, Atomic Rooster, Bon Jovi, the Scorpions, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple etc were all described as metal, and Queen was regularly heavier than those were. In fact, Steppenwolf appear to have coined the term in "Born to be Wild". Things changed a bit around 1990 when Grunge and Thrash went mainstream.

@Wintis_Swizzle I suspect John Deacon is autistic. Before anyone launches off on me, let's just say it takes one to know one. Talented player and good song writer.

@briansteele5959 Laibach's version of One Vision is legendary!

@briansteele5959 It's one of the most bizarre Queen covers out there.

@hombrerusode40anos72 Queen did a number of metal songs including a thrash song. This is metal by virtue of its subject matter and style.

@hombrerusode40anos72 Sort of...

@Spunky1991 I think they should have stuck with the stage. No papparazzi etc or non-band members. Freddie's singing is great on this.

Yawn

John Deacon is the underrated member of Queen. Brian and Freddie are well known.

@lilianwal2385 These comments re on every video, including ones telling people that their neighbours listen to this song etc etc. I agree.

@lilianwal2385 p.s. I do think Led Zep are overrated. They wère plagiarists too.

@Uneventfuls "Delilah" is a terrible song as is "the Machines"
1
Bohemian Rhapsody is their most overexposed song.
