  2. New sub, so apologies if you have tested this… you kind of covered this on your second test. My big issue with multitools is the plier function, I’ve had several (more than a few, 6 or 7) collapse on use. I mean trying to get a bolt or whatever to turn, clamp, or cutting a large wire, and the handle snaps, collapsing and sometimes pinching your skin. I am not talking about stressing them to point of failure, just a test of a strong hand squeeze. I’m 6’, and a former gymnast so there’s a chance my grip might (as in who knows) be stronger than average. I’m not talking a two handed squeeze, just one hand, and a very strong squeeze that would be applied while trying to either cut, clamp or remove a stuck bolt.

  3. I wish they would offer replacement headbands, I have purchased a cheap brand just to cannibalize the headband from it as headbands are the first to go. 😢

  6.  @ProjectFarm  — GREAT! I’d also be interested in finding out if you have returned any failed units for warranty replacement, and were they replaced? Not talking about the Amazon or stores replacement, the manufacturer. I haven’t bought a leatherman tool in about 18+ years because they never returned a failed multitool I sent them. I’m curious what manufacturers DO honor their warranties.

  7. Ever do a AAA comparison? I use a blood pressure cuff, and have tried several types of rechargeable batteries but none will run the device more than a couple of times. It needs a full 1.5v and the rechargeable are 1.2. Will any rechargeable battery work?
