I’m lost, the purpose of dams is to a) Manage water resources, and b) generate power. If they do neither, why maintain the damn dam?

@slepp449 — gee the point is to NOT flood the entire area, which is WHY you open the valves to drain the lake reservoir, and limit the water flow when it rains. Investors? The company? They stopped being viable the moment they stopped generating electricity.

@slepp449 — No clue, but at the moment it’s just a ticking time bomb essentially. And I would think decommissioning would mean destruction, which would mean a major expense.
