  18. A woman broke into a home I had bought to fix up and move into, she changed the locks and the police were powerless. She just held up the keys and told them she had permission, she was a resident to the police. When I arrived with the police I asked to get some of my valuables out, and she yelled at the police and I, “YOUR VALUABLES? MY HOUSE, MY FURNITURE, MY APPLIANCES, MY JEWELRY, MY TOOLS!” Then she told the police to get me off of her property, and they did. I’m out tens of thousands of dollars and as it’s a civil issue, my only apparent legal option I have is to sue her. My attorney just laughed, sure you can spend 2k to 10k trying to sue her, if you can locate her, if you can get her in court, if you win... then what do you expect to get from a homeless, transient, drug addict, prostitute thief? She has found just not the perfect crime but the perfect time time to do it during the virus, she’s been there 4 months now and we haven’t even gotten to the first stage if the eviction process yet.

  26. I’m confused... scooters have GPS’s in them, and regularly ping the home base to give their location and battery level. You need a credit card attaches to the account on your cell phone app to use one. Why can’t they just find out which scooters were in the area of the accident, and pay each one a visit?

  44. Everything about this is great except ONE LITTLE THING... The officer FIRED HIS WEAPON! At no time was the gun pointed at the officer, yet the officer fired and luckily missed. I get that officers absolutely have the right to protect themselves or stop a threat to others, but he FIRED his weapon. I guess we should be happy he missed instead of a head shot, or the common empty your clip into the perp.

  45. I have to admit, I’m torn. Yes, the couple seemed drunk, privileged and did cause the incident by having more than six guests and ignoring the deck limits. AND they have a point, the deck does look rotted underneath. Sadly, this is going to be expensive.

  49. I’m curious... years ago I got a ticket for flashing my lights to warn of a speed trap to drivers in the opposite lanes as they approached it. My ticket was dismissed when the lawyer asked the officer what the purpose of his job was. Not writing tickets, but to enforce the law to encourage people to slow down. Then he asked what the effects of someone flashing lights to warn drivers of his presence was? “They slowed down,” the officer responded. “Then you wrote a ticket for interfering with a police officer in their line of duty, when in face he wasn’t interfering, he was helping. Case dismissed. The purpose of red light cameras isn’t to get revenue, it’s to get people to slow down. Same principle.
