  43. Dogbite007 — I’ve known a few people convicted of sexual offense and are now sex offenders. One was convicted of a crime when he was thirteen and was tried as an adult. 13! One man was convicted of rape for having sex, for the first time, with his soon to be wife. The wife admitted it was consensual, but was against her previously stated religious beliefs, and so she called the police three days after the event. He is now a sex offender, and they are now married. Here’s the thing, every situation is different, every case, every individual, different. Some are bad, and repeat offenders who deserve the restrictions. But there are others who are not a risk to society, who suffer the same lifetime, yes LIFETIME classification, which inhibits their ability to survive even after their sentences have been served. I was once like you. OMG! A sex offender! I don’t want them in my neighborhood, near my kids schools, near me! But as I’ve learned more about the PEOPLE, I realize the system is flawed, seriously flawed. There are entire industries built and sustained around either keeping sex offenders in check, or being paid to council, rehabilitate them, with a direct need to keep them in the program to perpetuate their income. An example of this was my 90 year old neighbor who was being assisted in his home getting a shower and made a pass at the home health care aide. She reported it, her company called the police, who investigated, and he admitted it thinking he had done nothing wrong. Because it was an unwanted advance he was ordered to undergo counseling. The phycologist there gave him a visual test, and told the 90 year old guy to click on the screen here, or there if he was attracted to them, and here to move forward to the next picture in the series. He was told point blank that if he wasn’t attracted to any of them he would have to retake the test, and it wasn’t cheap. The result? My 90 year old neighbor who knows NOTHING about computers, ever, never even had a cell phone, was branded a pedophile, and is now a sex offender for life. He didn’t want to 'fail' the test so he said to me in the car on the way home that he had selected a few, he thinks. The kicker? HE IS LEGALLY BLIND! Has been for 20 years since he had a stroke. They gave a blind man, who can barely make out light and dark shapes in front of him a VISUAL test and branded him a sex offender. No debate, as he had already pleaded guilty to the "offense" of making a pass at his home health care aide, and now he is a PEDOPHILE. A registered sex offender. So your comments that they deserve to be jobless and sleeping as indigents in parks under highway underpasses kind of bothers me. I agree, SOME are dangerous, and NEED to be monitored. But the efforts to keep the public safe, the system, is seriously hosed. To label all sex offenders criminals is just as wrong as labeling all oriental people smart, blacks dumb or criminals, etc., I’ve seen the system, and met a few of them, and they are just people sometimes, as imperfect as you and I. And no one, no one ever should be forced to live under an overpass in tents without running water and without sewage, with no means to support themselves.

  191. Ā @GigaChadDuPlessisĀ  proof? Seriously! Trump accused Hillary of working with the FBI to tap his campaign HQ phones, and more. Read the Mueller Report to see that Hillary’s campaign staff investigated a email server break in, they were stuck, so hired an IT firm, they traced to Russia, the IT firm hired a former CIA operative with experience working in Russia, who found the company involved and ā€œpossible links to Trump’s campaign.ā€ They turned their information over to the Hillary Campaign HQ, who called the FBI, and turned over all that they had found to them. The FBI researched the documents, found the information credible, and OPENED THEIR OWN INVESTIGATION. The FBI tapped Trump’s phones as collusion, working with a foreign government to influence an election is against the law. Then even thou The Mueller Report stated ā€œThere is ample evidence of both collusion and obstruction, we are unable to prosecute a sitting president at this time.ā€ Then Trump declared himself INNOCENT, COMPLETELY EXONERATED! And you Trumpets BELIEVED HIM! You shout LOCK HER UP! at rallies even though Trump started the email hack of Hillary’s servers by working through Russia. Many people went to prison for their roles in helping Trump do these things! They were independently tried in a fair court, by jurors of their peers, unbiased, and found guilty based on the evidence! Then trump tried to coerce Ukraine to ā€œannounce that they were opening an investigation into the Biden’sā€, note not DO an investigation as that had already been done, just announce it. Again, a total of 14 of Trumps people were fairly tried, found guilty multiple felonies, Roger Stone got 7 convictions alone. Even in the senate impeachment trial, the Republicans opened with ā€œNo witnesses will need to be called, as the presidents actions are not in question, they are proven, the question before us here is whether those actions are an impeachable offense or not. Again, the president was not impeached for what he did, declared himself innocent, AND YOU DOLTS BELIEVED HIM! And dude... just google what ever else you think I said that was wrong... and read for yourself. Everything I said was true!

  350. Ā @sorzin2289Ā  — Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, THIS phase of the same war still continues. I’m not naive, you evidently are a Russian or Republican dolt. I mean Bot, my bad. I like to oversimplify, and as RUSSIA ATTACKED UKRAINE, Russia is the aggressor, Russia is wrong, and Russia deserves whatever it gets. They elected Putin overwhelmingly with over 90% of the vote, and now they are only beginning to feel the pain THEY have inflicted on others. Let’s see how you feel when Russian casualties Line the streets like they have in Ukraine. Let’s see how Russia likes cold winters without power, heat or fuel. And seriously, Russia doesn’t just need to stop, they need to lose. Why? Because if Russia takes Ukraine, and Putin proceeds with his plan to take Finland and Poland, both of which ARE NATO countries… Hell will be here on earth. Think this through… life as Russians know it will be over, and that is assuming Russia doesn’t use Nukes. This thread postulates that military industry profits, which they do, but that has absolutely NOTHING to do with this conflict. Want it to stop? All Russia has to do is walk away. But Putin just keeps pushing, attacking, targeting and killing Ukrainian civilians. Naive is not realizing that NATO and the USA are limiting the weapons and support they are providing Ukraine. Every escalation has been in response to Russian actions. This entire war is planned by, caused by, orchestrated by Putin. Russia is in the drivers seat, all he has to do is hit the brakes or turn around.

  525. Ā @derricksmith8978Ā  — Re: ā€œNo, oil companies should replace it.ā€œ Probably not gonna happen… I just watched a newscast that explained why. Many companies including oil companies, or any company that operates with vehicles for example, or companies that have a product that has a particular liability vector, such as cell phone companies towers. The companies split off those divisions or sections into different smaller companies there are supposedly, at least on paper, independently owned. This way a small operator owns that piece of the pie, so that if there is a liability issue they can simply declare bankruptcy and not affect the parent company. The California oil producers for the companies that originally on the pipeline don’t on the California pipeline section anymore, it is owned by a small company in Texas called vector energy I believe if I remember correctly… And essentially that small company will be responsible for any liability claims and if it cannot pay, it simply declares bankruptcy. They do this specifically for that reason. For example any company that owns a series of fleet vehicles those vehicles and the drivers work for a subcontractor not the parent company that is on the name of the trucks. They do this so that if a company vehicle we are in a family and create a big liability issue, the insurance company of the family injured cannot sue the parent company, they have to sue the company that employees the driver and rents the truck. Meaning that the parent company with deep pockets is protected financially, and the small company only has a limited amount to lose in the event of a lawsuit. Welcome to 21st-century legality reality 101.

  552. We might want to clarify this… She never had a case, or a lawsuit asking her to do so, yet somehow escalated this to the SCOTUS level. Think please, there are businesses all over the country that have ā€œNo Shirt, No Shoes — NO SERVICE!ā€ Two businesses that I know of in Texas have signs in their windows or exit doors saying ā€œNO F4GS!ā€ or ā€œNO GAYS!ā€ and they aren’t an issue at all because any privately owned business can serve whomever they please. She made this an issue because of a nonexistent issue or condition, based on fears of the Colorado Lesbian cake case that went to SCOTUS. A lesbian went into a cake shop, ordered a wedding cake, the order was accepted and she received a receipt showing her deposit and day of delivery [a CONTRACT]. Then on the wedding day, the shop said no, and refused to even return her deposit. The cake shop had NO SUCH SIGN ON THEIR DOOR, accepted the order and gave a receipt, meaning there was a contract that the company could have refused and returned her deposit at any time. The women sued the company and won based on the CONTRACTURAL issue, and the bakery was ordered to return their deposit. Then wedding shop appealed and lost based on the contract they failed to honor, and then the case hit the news and morphed into a religious rights issue eventually going to the SCOTUS level. This woman could have and can put any sign or message they wanted on their website such as ā€œPROUDLY SERVING HETEROSEXUAL CUSTOMERS ONLY!ā€ But didn’t, somehow escalating to the SCOTUS level without a case. So this woman sued for a non-existent reason, and gained the right to refuse service to anyone, a right afforded to literally EVERY private business in America with the exception of medical services in the event of a medical emergency. This has WEIRD AF written all over it. People are claiming discrimination, others screaming Religious rights upheld, when nothing and I mean NOTHING has changedā€¼ļø 🤣

  602. Ā @kalebjones5581Ā  — She starts off by saying ā€œit (their count) was within a hundred of the original count, but that there were statutes broken which did not affect the count.ā€ The statures line I assume means laws, which has already been disproven in hundreds of court cases. Then a guy talks about how babies sleep patterns have to so with ballot signature verification patterns, explaining hoe a million of then showed bad signatures based on the comparisons of the baby sleep pattern inconsistencies, resulting 567 having bad signatures out of 1 million 500 thousand some odd signatures, which meant that the final. One count may have been off by a fraction of a percentage point. Again, based on comparison to babies sleep patterns compared to the signature patterns, final result was .00425%, variance. When they discussed 15,000 duplicate Republican votes, of people who submitted two votes (as instructed by Trump to do) that also did not affect the final vote. Dude, this is dribble. I’m sorry, pixel density, which they ESTIMATED BY EYESIGHT VIEWING (Not by computer) of millions of ballots, by different untrained people, then converting these ESTIMATES of pixel density, based on comparisons against baby sleep patterns, all to estimate the validity of signatures on the envelopes. They counted 34,000 duplicate votes in one county, again by Republicans, and based on Scribbles and blanks, and likely blanks but with marks. WHAT THE FREAKING HELL DUDE?! This means NOTHING! Edit. And please excuse me, but what does signature pixel pattern density have to do with baby’s sleep patterns? What possible correlation does this have, especially considering they found 567 out of how many million? Let’s use this logic, when I look at my lawn without my glasses on, it’s blurry, therefore because my baby slept through the night 2 nights out of 92 nights, this obviously must mean Trump won. 😳

  666. Shawn Heenan — No one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE wants to kill babies! Don’t be a simpleton! That you could even say that shows you to be a closed minded sucker who has been manipulated. Ever study the difference between the Republican anti-abortion stance and the democrats pro-life stance? Pro-Life means saving babies now today, as many as possible. How? Instituting waiting periods to allow pro-life churches groups, churches, agency and or government staffers to explain the mother’s options, assistance with work, education, housing pre-natal care, delivery and if desired adoption options. Sounds good, so ask why the Republican Party spends almost 500 million annually to FIGHT THESE EFFORTS?! Seriously, WHY?! The Republican’s seek to make it illegal, a murder charge, literally for mother, doctor and assisting staff, which would drive it into back room abortion clinics costing the lives of mothers AND their babies. Did you ever THINK that maybe possibly republicans don’t give a flying crap about saving lives, but care greatly about continuing the anti-abortion evangelical relationship and the money and support it brings into the GOP war chest? Did you know that over 60,000,000 babies have been killed in the 47/48 years since Roe vs. Wade was enacted? If babies LIVES were the issue, why would the Republican Party fight to keep pro-Life laws and efforts off the books? Dude, you and every other evangelical, religious-right person has been lied to and manipulated! How do you NOT see that it’s ALL ABOUT THE MONEY?
