T N — I believe the "shocking" comment was aimed at the fact the police thought they had previously confiscated all of his weapons as he was deemed a risk, not that 1000 rounds was shocking. I’m thinking a lot of people, like me, may have a similar number of rounds. What no one seems to be mentioning is that we can still buy guns without any limitations, records or restrictions from private citizens just like we would buy a hammer or drill. Speaking for myself only, I feel the time has come to hold gun owners responsible for the sale of weapons they have purchased or bought. There should be some way to prevent or at least alert authorities when someone purchases a weapon who is on a "no buy" list, with the goal being to prevent situations like this.

Kommentator — I’ve been around guns a lot in my life, and I’ve never even considered using them to hurt anyone in aggression. To do so is literally unthinkable to myself and everyone I’ve ever known. A gun is a tool, like any knife, hammer or home security system. In countries where guns have been outlawed, crimes, home invasions and murders still happen in roughly the same percentages per population. The only difference is, it’s murder by hammer instead of a gun. Guns make it easier, True, but the common denominator in 99% of ALL gun crimes isn’t just the gun — It’s the HUMAN.
