  1. Patch Clan — As a Caucasian man, I politely disagree. It is my hope that everyone of any race or color would get the same benefit of the doubt. Yes, I know it’s not a perfect world, and that blacks do get convicted more often and with longer/more severe sentences than other races. But please know that many whites, such as myself, see the injustices and are deeply angered by them. It’s not a perfect world, the only thing we can do is to try and make it better — To be part of the solution and not be part of the problem. Please know that many of us "whites" see you (all persons, irrelevant to race) as brothers, friends and family members, and it saddens us greatly when injustices happen. That said, I hope that this trash (you may read white trash if you wish, but I dislike that phrase too) gets the death penalty, dies slowly and painfully, and spends eternity in hell. Yes, I know that might sound harsh and unchristian — I’m working on being a better person... I’m just not there yet.

  2. That everyone seems to be calling the media racist, is sad. EVERYONE of any color knows with ZERO DOUBT this was a racially motivated hate crime incident. Hate is learned, by being hateful, by being unforgiving, we perpetuate the problem. That the black victims forgave the white person who shot and killed their friends and loved ones... is absolutely amazing. I was only beaten, robbed and held at gunpoint for a few hours, and I have trouble forgiving that person. That these victims can voice heartfelt forgiveness inspires me to be a better person. My heart and prayers go with them and those they lost. I am humbled by their faith, strength, and grace.
