Please remember that Texas is LARGE, and snow clearing equipment doesn't exist other than sanding trucks for icy bridges and overpasses. I've driven semi trucks all over the U.S., and found out the hard way how Texas is slightly different than other areas of the country. Where you are, I would guess you stay below freezing for a long period. Texas, like now warms during the day and freezes at night. When they get snow/rain it melts and freezes, and as the cars go over it creates what I call snot road coverings. 4x4's have zero traction, semi's have zero traction even when I had 4x4 drive (rear 4 tires with locking differentials) I had zero traction. Add the smooth iced roads with water on top of ice and people who are from the north and are used to snow where you can get traction... accidents EVERYWHERE. I'll be going into work at 3-4 am to avoid traffic, LOL!

Vote Blue. Abbott has done NOTHING to make our schools safer post-Uvalde, and done NOTHING to ensure our power grid does not fail again in the next ice storm. Not to mention that Abbott’s first impulse about Uvalde was to lie, then to cover up the lie, then deny the lie, and only when news reporters showed footage of Officers standing in the hallways prevented from entering the classroom did Abbott back down from his lies. Abbott is a danger to Texas, a literal threat. VOTE BLUE LIKE YOUR KIDS, YOUR NEIGHBORS KIDS, AND YOU LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!

I'd like to hear fellow Republicans justify how they can vote for someone who is a liar. Repeatedly Abbott has lied, over and over. People here say that they support Abbott's stance on economy, crime, border, taxes, 2nd amendment rights, schools, protections for the unborn. Yet how do they know when Abbott's first impulse about Uvalde was to lie, then when caught lying, deny it until it was proven by video... So schools and crime are unknowns. Abbott's proven track record for big business when it screws the citizens is also known... So economy, taxes, who knows what else is also a big unknown. Border? Abbott views brown people, Hispanics, like Trump does, considers them all thieves, rapists and murderers, and his border policy is pure theatrics and again, lies. 2nd amendment rights... Yes, he supports them unconditionally. However that also puts kids and people at risk because of zero changes made to protect schools and public areas.

@Drtydeeds — Not true. The legal aspect is called “willful retention.” Hillary was told she may have had documents, she searched for, found them, and returned them. Biden’s lawyers found them and the very next day returned them and instituted a search for more, finding them, Biden and his team cooperated fully. Trump however, lied, denied and stalled them for over a year, even had his lawyer say they had searched and found none. So they searched and found them. BIG DIFFERENCE.

@Drtydeeds — No, the goalposts have not shifted. If they were ANY lower employee not a high level politician they would all be in prison. Sadly, what would land some people in either jail or the unemployment line (for taking Top Secret or TS/SCI papers home) does not automatically land a congressman/senator, head of state or VP or President in hot water. They have people that carry the papers, and for some reason that makes them only partially responsible. All I know is the term “Willful Retention” is key on wether or not it is prosecutable for these elected officials. Presidents/VP’s don’t always lose their TS status when they leave office, many hold that status as long as they are working on/with other elected politicians. I get your point, Biden did what Trump did. Research it, PLEASE. The difference is “willful retention.” Biden and Hilary were either informed or asked if they had secret documents, Hilary searched for, found and returned them. Biden’s team found them, then searched elsewhere and found more, in both cases they were immediately (within a day) returned. They worked with trump for about a year, he denied it, he lied, he had his lawyer sign off on a “we searched and no such documents exist” letter that may cost her legal license. So after a year they contacted the FBI and they searched for and found the missing documents. Think of it this way, you see a cop behind you, if you stop, you get a ticket, a slap on the wrist. If you flee… you risk prison. Same rule here essentially. Everyone can see the possible double standard, but the difference again is “WILLFUL RETENTION.”
