  1.  @Drtydeeds  — Not true. The legal aspect is called “willful retention.” Hillary was told she may have had documents, she searched for, found them, and returned them. Biden’s lawyers found them and the very next day returned them and instituted a search for more, finding them, Biden and his team cooperated fully. Trump however, lied, denied and stalled them for over a year, even had his lawyer say they had searched and found none. So they searched and found them. BIG DIFFERENCE.

  2.  @Drtydeeds  — No, the goalposts have not shifted. If they were ANY lower employee not a high level politician they would all be in prison. Sadly, what would land some people in either jail or the unemployment line (for taking Top Secret or TS/SCI papers home) does not automatically land a congressman/senator, head of state or VP or President in hot water. They have people that carry the papers, and for some reason that makes them only partially responsible. All I know is the term “Willful Retention” is key on wether or not it is prosecutable for these elected officials. Presidents/VP’s don’t always lose their TS status when they leave office, many hold that status as long as they are working on/with other elected politicians. I get your point, Biden did what Trump did. Research it, PLEASE. The difference is “willful retention.” Biden and Hilary were either informed or asked if they had secret documents, Hilary searched for, found and returned them. Biden’s team found them, then searched elsewhere and found more, in both cases they were immediately (within a day) returned. They worked with trump for about a year, he denied it, he lied, he had his lawyer sign off on a “we searched and no such documents exist” letter that may cost her legal license. So after a year they contacted the FBI and they searched for and found the missing documents. Think of it this way, you see a cop behind you, if you stop, you get a ticket, a slap on the wrist. If you flee… you risk prison. Same rule here essentially. Everyone can see the possible double standard, but the difference again is “WILLFUL RETENTION.”
