  3. I almost bought one three times... I was waiting for a redesign due to the abysmal side and rear visibility. Wonderful design... save the high doors and wee it’sy bitsy Windows.

  4. I had a Mitsubishi 3000 GT twin turbo, that was nice... But the Mitsubishi Eclipse GST, a turbo that would do 130 all day, and in a flash, topped out at about 150 mph. But both have an itsy bitsy little problem... get in an accident at 130 in one of those and they will NEVER ever be able to identify your body. Ever.

  6. I own a 2002 Montero, love it, it’s an amazing machine. But... if you look at the Dakar videos and PICs those aren’t Montero’s. Mitsubishi makes them look like Montero’s/Pajero’s/Shogun’s, but they are pipe cars, just welded together dune buggy’s w/ Montero body panels attached. I’m sure there are some components but... it’s not a Montero.

  7. Fake news? I personally witnessed an accident w a Suzuki Samurai in Dallas, Texas during an ice storm. Going to work I was passed by a Samurai who waved at me going slow approaching a bridge with his left hand outside the window. He hit the ice, flipped immediately and I followed the blood trail from his arm to his vehicle where he was screaming like crazy.

  8. haywoodyoudome — Actually, I think it was. They were very prone to flipping, and he didn’t steer radically, panic or hit the brakes. He was clearly over confident, thinking his little 4x4 would help him on ice. But when I think about what I saw, the vehicle rotated ever so slightly, the back moved a bit to the left and it liked like it hit something, like a small clump of snow. Then it just flipped on is drivers side. And I was going to stop, just not on the bridge as it wouldn’t have been safe. I drove past pulled over, and started back when a police car stopped before the bridge and turned on its lights, so I returned to my car. But I seriously do not think the driver had time to react, save take his foot off the gas. It happened so fast.
