  1. Faith. The GOP has bonded with the religious right, starting with Reagan meeting with the nations top 1000 of the nations evangelical leaders. My pastor screams in sermons “If you consider yourself a Christian, you WILL vote Republican OR YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN!” These are scary times.

  6.  @Lux7355  — I agree, but from my limited knowledge I understand the law to read that a religious organization cannot support any specific candidate or they can lose their tax free status. But on everything else we are in agreement, churches that talk politics should lose their tax exempt status. 👍🏽

The GOP has bonded with the evangelical religious right, they believe THEY are the Godly party. What I find interesting is how they justify everything they do and say, every lie, political crime like Trumps actually attempting to steal the election, etc., as “‘all things are permissible through the lord,’ as WE are fighting evil.” So essentially no rules, no laws, as THEY are doing Gods will. It’s a seriously mucked 🤬 up logic.

  10.  @cindyschneider4728  — True… but you forget Bush Jr was saved on live TV, and Trump was saved on the campaign trail on a bus by a group of religious leaders who found out he wasn’t saved. The account was hilarious, he was asked if he was saved, and Trump responded ‘From what? I have Secret Service all around me?” They responded forgiven for your sins, and Trump responded “I have done nothing to be forgiven for.”
