  1. Old guy here… 45 years back any candidate mentioning gun rights was laughed at. As crime and mass shootings increased, we have seen a gradual change to being considered, debated and at the last election EVERY Democratic candidate had gun control on their positions list. People voice their concerns for their and their family’s safety to Politicians who must incorporate their wants into their positions to get elected. What people supporting an intractable 2nd amendment don’t realize is the US Constitution is written in pencil, it can and has been changed. If we don’t do something to curb the violence, we will lose our second amendment rights.
