I’m seriously flabbergasted! Presidential immunity applies ONLY while a person IS President for one reason only, to block attempts by those against him from tying up a presidents time from nuisance lawsuits. If a President does something illegal, he absolutely can be liable for it after leaving office. That is WHY some Presidents have been pardoned after leaving office by the sitting President!
