  3. I used to visit NYC frequently for business and a few times on vacation, and learned to pick my hotel room CAREFULLY! Nighttime is when almost all deliveries and pickups are done. You don’t want a street side or alley facing room, as the noise level increases exponentially. The higher the better too, as there is less street noise. After so many sleepless nights I began wearing earplugs at night, but then changed to picking a smarter hotel room location.

  5. Sounds familiar. My best instructors said the same, deescalate, walk or run away, in a fight there is no winner, only in a match is there a winner. The goal in any situation you can’t get away from is simple, disable your opponent as fast as possible. Collarbone, throat, precise hit to the base of the jawbone under the earlobe, and many others. Your goal is to put that guy in pain so you can get away.
