  1. Sadly, being heartbroken doesn’t relieve him from any culpability. While I’m not an actor or in the industry, I am familiar with weapons. All I know, and I’m not blaming anyone, is that when you are handed a weapon, even at a gun store, it is YOUR responsibility to verify that it is unloaded even if you just watched the salesperson check it. I fear for Alec Baldwin as accidental homicide is a possible charge. He is smart to not answer questions, and I hope he has already retained a lawyer as he very well may need it.

  2.  @AV-we2rd  — I’m not talking about laws, just standard practice. I get what you’re saying, and agree, but from my experience as a John Doe Citizen… I can’t imagine being handed a gun, and not verifying its status. Sorry.

  3. They said they found over 500 rounds, not blanks, .44 shells, on the set. My simple mind says the first questions should be to the half dozen staff who walked off for poor working and safety conditions. A disgruntled worker would be my first guess.
