  1. As workers are replaced, there will be less people working, more crime as people gotta eat, so soon less people as the rich people with robots will use them to protect themselves. This means less and less products sold, less homes sold, less and less food needed, etc., until the rich, with their robots are the only buyers of food and household goods, electronics, etc. those with skills or money will be successful. Those without will become criminals and imprisoned.

  3. In the DFW area the dealers won’t take your deposit, but they will let you order a truck with your specs. I said wait what? I’m here to negotiate the price and buy my truck. Nope. Not anymore, you order the truck to your specs, and when it comes in you can bid on it against other buyers also waiting. But the good news is, you can bud on vehicles as they come in, so you may get they truck you want before yours comes in. On my vehicle he shared that they are getting $20k to $30k over sticker.

  5. @ — Depends if you assume that a learning AI intelligent robot will honor Asimov’s three rules of robotics. I would assume as more and more become guards or protection detail… that silly things like not harming people will be conveniently deleted or just toggled off. All I know is as we become more and more automated, crime will rise. I used to think Andrew Yang was bonkers, but what he says regarding the need for a basic income paid for by either working people or corporations as they downsize just might (I’m still on the fence) be a genius idea.
