Ā @LanwarderĀ ā With respect, Iāve driven Trucks all over the USA in all weather. Texas, heck every state, has unique weather in some respect. Where you are it stays cold for months through winter, you gat 3ā of snow and once plowed you can drive, you get traction. Occasional ice issues yes. Every few years Texas dips below freezing during a rain storm creating freezing rain on warm-ish roads conditions. There is no traction, the warmer roads continually melt and freeze creating a driving on snot over ice effect. Traction isnāt impaired, THERE IS ZERO TRACTION. Snow has traction, ice has traction, water on top of perfectly smooth ice has no traction. Everything else youāre spot on. The issue with the last Texas ice storm February 2021 was the power grid, Texas is independent, has no power agreements with other states to share loads when power shortages occur. So when any problems or high demand occurs we have no options but to shut areas off. Did Texas resolve this issue, hell no! We bought small generators for small public buildings to create āwarming centersā where people could go FOR A FEW HOURS to warm up while their house and pipes freeze. Thatās their entire plan! Small generators with enough fuel for 4-6 hours. Need gas? Waitā¦ the gas station needs electricity, no gas available.

Itās flawed logic, and as sociopathic as it gets as it means exposing Australiaās 25 million people to the virus, which would mean 125,000 dead. Which is evidently just fine with you, just as it is to the USAās Republican Party.

They were lied to by a conman, told that a 'flu shot' was a vaccine, and told not to take it by a MAN they felt was appointed my God to lead the nation. Bottom line, anyway you slice it Trump is responsible for roughly half a million COVID deaths because of his handling, inherent need to lie about anything (it's his first response over telling the truth), and his need to put his welfare over the countries or the people who voted for him. And yes, I know, no one cares because Trump was appointed by God, so God knew what Trump would do, approved, sanctified, and justified everything Trump would do before anointing him as our leader... I just think that is ALL BS. Trump is just a conman, and the Republican voters and politicians used him as a vehicle to accomplish their goals.

Ā @AlleyandGreyĀ ā The union wanted more personnel, time off for doctors appointments, and essentially what most workers take for granted. Had they been given the right to strike, more people able to do more checks, not working exhausted and understaffed, possibly might have helped. Im not trying to argue your point, itās valid, just saying that perhaps ordering them to return to work might not have been the best decision in hindsight. Would it have mitigated THIS accident, doubtful. But from what little I know, their requests seemed like common sense, and I was shocked the Railroad was balking. I have also stayed at a ārailroad motel,ā in far north Texas that was shockingly substandard. We are talking so bad it was deplorable, disgusting conditions. I canāt imagine having to stay there between shifts on a regular basis.
That said, I still want to know why you think Iām a troll. š

Biden on the other hand has been caught in 127 lies (fact-checked) so far in office. No oneās perfect, but just look at Trumps BIG Lie that almost cost us our democracy. Trump and most Republicans who backed him have almost all responded in court or in chambers that the right to lie is protected by free speech, itās a constitutional right to them. The best example is Ted Cruz, there are several videos of him here on YouTube arguing that very fact, that he has a constitutional right to lie.
