@choosesomethingfun5608 — Not necessarily, they want to reduce the occurrence of mass shootings. Think back 40 years please, at presidential debates gun restrictions were laughed at, then as mass shootings continued, at every successive presidential campaign in debates it became a serious question, and at the 2020 elections all Democratic candidates have gun control on their positions list. Why? Public opinion changes politicians minds, by letters/emails, at polls, town halls, at public speeches voters express concern about their and their families safety, politicians who want to get elected adapt. Think that trend is going to stop? No, it’s only a matter of time until Republican voters start pushing Republican candidates to do the same. Doing nothing isn’t the answer, fighting change isn’t the answer, and people like you don’t realize our constitution is written in pencil. It can, has, and will be changed.

@paranormalextract4976 -- Y'all? You mean my Republican party is trying to take guns away? Seriously? That is Daft! Democrats are trying to take away assault rifles under the false assumption that it is those guns that cause mass shootings. Since you asked, at least they are trying to curb mass shootings. I am all for the Second Amendment, but if you have paid attention to politics, each election gets us closer to losing our second amendment rights. Fighting each and every measure to make gun ownership and guns safer is not the answer. We need to adapt in order to keep our second amendment. With each mass shooting we get closer and closer to losing our rights. So how about you stop thinking in US vs THEM mentality, and think about what steps might be acceptable to decrease shootings and save lives.
