  6.  @听取蛙声一片-n7j  — Not sure where you’re getting your news but what China calls “it’s ocean space” is not the international standard or close. China is like the playground bully that keeps calling more of the ocean its private playground daring others to question China’s sovereignty. It’s like the world has settled on 200 nautical miles off shore from any nations land masses and China thinks that 500KM is all their ocean. They have even built little islands by continually dumping rocks in one spot to increase their ocean footprint.

  7.  @92nogoodname60  — The Philippines is NOT a US territory, they asked to be self governed after WW2 and the USA agreed, we walked away. The Philippines are still an ally, and we have in several instances made protective overtures like you mentioned. The Philippines is also not a NATO member, so even if China invades them no NATO nation is going to intervene. The only help they might receive is from the United Nations, if requested, and it looks to be a Humanitarian Aide situation, they might help bring peace and attempt to mitigate the killing by the Chinese military against Philippine citizens. My comment was simple, others were saying the USA was a bully, worse than China. I politely disagree. We are not perfect, but we are also not what you and others think us to be. However if you look at China’s history and actions, as well as their ally’s like Russia and North Korea, they ARE very aggressive.
