I’ve known people who went through drug trials. They tell you up front, very clearly, so you know with absolute certainty, that you will randomly receive either the placebo, or the real drug. You hope you get the real drug, but you know by your participation that you could get either one. That’s the simple truth. Sad that those I died, but that is how ALL drug trials are done. There is no other known way to accurately track and test the effectiveness of a drug. And yes, several people I’ve known passed away, unfortunately getting the placebo. I can remember the final conversation I had with one friend, I said is it too late to switch to the real drug (at that point he knew he wasn’t getting the real drug), and he just smiled, “No, that’s a risk, a gamble, we all took. Don’t worry, I knew the chances were 50/50, I accepted the results a long time ago.”

@YouEverSeeAFrogKid — I don’t understand “know to kill people.” Known? The friends I knew were facing a potentially deadly outcome, much higher at that time than Covid, which while deadly, the actual mortality percentages are far less. It was a tough call at the time for them to make, without question. But at the time… they had few alternatives. Not trying to argue, but hair loss treatment isn’t going to cause death unless there’s an issue with the drug. And weighs on you? I can imagine! It weighs on me and seems to me to be an archaic and cold way to perform medicine… but that is the way it’s done.
