Not all of us are Republicans, some of us still love our country, freedom, and support USA’s efforts to keep Ukraine a free nation.

Alex Perez I’m guessing you are a Republican having conveniently forgotten Trump’s phone call with Zelinski/Ukraine (sp?) withholding aid and weapons he wanted and asking him to first announce an investigation into Hunter Biden (not do, 3 had been done) for his Ukraine oil company position. They were a large but limited (in what we could sell them) military arms purchaser.

@lockbert99 — That was not my intent, and you are correct, in the last round of aid only 11 Republican Senators voted against it. I don’t believe that was always correct, I remember hearing something like 157 voted against it, but I’m not sure which round that was and I’ve slept since then. I do know from watching the news that many have spoken out strongly against it as that’s what you hear on morning shows, the news, and on FOX. And frankly you need to reverse your logic, assume Russia invaded the USA. Would you be arguing for surrender to stop the killing? Well you might, but I’m old, I can’t imagine surrendering while we had a chance. Yet you’re suggesting prolonging the war is just leading to more killing and destruction… so just give up? And who said Putin doesn’t want to take on NATO? How do you know this isn’t Russias way of testing our resolve. Russia is a bully, think Ukraine will satisfy their appetite? LOL!

@EdricLysharae — I agree with you, but after Trump and the MAGA Republicans lies and dirty tactics, I am just disgusted with the lot of them. We (I voted for him in 2016) as a party have abandoned every Christian principle we once held. Long time friends and family have morphed into dishonest backstabbing horrible deceitful people, just trash. I fear the Republican Party may never recover from this decent into hell.

@EdricLysharae — Thanks, but at the moment… I’m just done with the insanity. That the likes of Abbott, Cruz, Lake, DeSantis, Boebert, MT Greene, or Walker either won, or came close to winning just blows my mind. Honor, integrity, character, honesty used to be traits we looked for in our candidates.

That Putin/Russia is brandishing nuclear weapons as a possible alternative is a big red flag he needs to be replaced. Ukraine needs to bring the fight to Russia, ring their bell (boxing term) and make them see first hand what Russian aggression can cost them. Let’s hope NATO allows Ukraine to become a member immediately and we can REALLY assist Ukraine in their fight for freedom.

@Hero4fun77 — It is never a good idea to underestimate the resolve or abilities of an enemy. Russia might seem less than able at the moment, but they are a smart and resilient people. They WILL learn from this and adapt.

@lockbert99 — That has/is true, except with Ukraine. Because Trump sided with Russia, that’s why they voted against aid to Ukraine what now… three times? Might be four… I forget. Yes, it passed. But Republicans are just fine with every man woman and child being eliminated so Putin can re-integrate Ukraine into communist Russia. That is why Lindsey Graham said that, because we are funding the war, they think we should stop, and he was making a point, if we stopped, the war would end. His point was that democrats are prolonging the inevitable, and we need to stop. Me, I’m a simple guy. Ukraine is our ally, a free nation, and when one free nation falls, ALL free nations are just one step closer to not being free. That’s why Republicans repeatedly bring up that “Biden is steering the USA towards nuclear war.” Because Republicans believe that we should not in any way be helping Ukraine, even though Putin is full-tilt-Bozo for threading the use of Nukes, Republicans are eager to debase Biden in any possible way, one way being supporting Russia in this conflict and pushing fear. I know one thing, Putin is a bully, Trump is a bully, if you don’t stand up to bullies they will just keep pushing. Want to know what will happen if we don’t stand up to Putin? EUROPE falls one country at a time to Russia, just like it did to Germany in the 1940’s. After Ukraine, Finland is next.

@lockbert99 — Your logic makes several false assumptions. Russia, Putin said he wanted to make Ukraine part of Russia again, he used Ukraine’s wanting to join NATO as an excuse. How long would that peace agreement last with an aggressive nation like Russia? They used a false premise to invade once, wouldn’t it make sense if they just wanted to press pause to regroup and attack again? “NATO is doing all kinds of stuff to hurt Russia.” RUSSIA IS ATTACKING A FREE NATION! Russia is the aggressor here! Assume I’m Russia and you are Ukraine: If I just walked up to you and started attacking you… would not your family and friends come to your aid? It’s the same thing! STOP shifting the blame to blame the victim, this is ALL Russias doing, Russia is in control, they can stop at any time. The correct response to a bully is to punch them in the nose HARD.

@PuppyDogFishFrog — I don’t know the correlation between woke and contemporary. I do know that all of my relatives who view woke as a bad thing seem to deny information that might challenge their views. Information isn’t inherently bad, you can listen, accept, dismiss or qualify it as partially correct. Choosing to not listen to something because you believe it is “woke” is insanity defined, just dumb. I get the resistance to cancel culture, I’m there too. Free speech, free expression should never be canceled. I don’t believe information is bad however, I do sometimes question or interpretation of information sometimes as it can be subjective to our beliefs, and our understanding of the subject material.
