Ethics matter, but ask yourself if you’re a parent and a Dr says would you like your child to be well built, pretty or handsome, have a gift for sports, enhanced coordination and spatial awareness, an IQ over 140 or 160? What parent wouldn’t say yes, yes, and yes? I for one would grab my checkbook or ask for finance options. Ethics be damned, I was to give my child every option to excel.

@johnaceto7126 — But you share many traits with my dad. After insemination his job was done, he left, like you… offspring could fend for themselves, children were to be seen not heard. Spoke to him as I was turning 18, I mentioned college hoping he could help. Dad just asked me if I had priced cigarettes lately, meaning that cigarettes were expensive, those were his priority, and that’s the only answer I got. So… YEAH, you might as well be my dad. It wasn’t a random question. If your name was Art, I would not be surprised. Ever taken a genetics class? One day the professor used the prevalence of Blacks in some sports, and essentially explained why there were so many. By today’s standards… the conversation would be considered racist, however at the time, in that class, he proved his point with data.

@deepashtray5605 — I see your point, and you’re probably right. But I was just saying that if it was ever available, ethics be damned when their children’s future was at stake. Give any parent a menu of choices, we can do this that, and… that. But if you opt for higher intelligence, athletic ability will be cancelled out. (Or whatever) there are ethical people out there, and I’m sure like you said, the have’s kids parents will check all the boxes, and the have not’s kids parents would be refinancing their house.

Don’t whine at me because what I said offended you. So yeah, I think you’re like my deadbeat, sociopathic dad whose responsibility ended after he inseminated my mother. Why?
