  1. Kudos to your adventurous traveling. Your in Africa but you never sweat..? Your Tee shirt should be SOAKING WET by jumani time. Also the reasons the landslides are so bad is because of the DEFORESTATION. Look at that mountain side...where are the TREES..? Nothing is standing over 25 feet because it’s been cut but not replanted and this you get scrub growth but no TREES. During the rainy season the land becomes unstable and without a forest of tree roots to help solidify the substrate you get EROSION which begets LANDSLIDES. And it’s a compounding problem once started it becomes difficult to prevent since trees take time to grow tall.
