  1. Nah they just need a 2:1 gear reduction... those chainsaws are easily running twice the RPM of the stock engine maybe 3-4 times. they do the same thing on many airplanes now that have higher RPM motors but need more torque for the prop.

  3.  @ellenorbjornsdottir1166  Flash boiler yes... would be good like a Doble 90sec to develop steam. Also direct drive would work much better... steam has extremely high torque much like electric.

  6. No ... the engine is too large... so it just lets the steam through without doing much work. Steam engines even with small pistons the size of a pair of shocks should get this car up to 40+mph with around 300psi
