They should have split this bill into 12, 10 page bills instead of having YET ANOTHER OMNIBUS... yes its smaller but its still BAD.

Exactly they should do exactly this. If this bill will fund the government for most of the year there is no reason for them not to split it 12 ways and read 10 pages of it publicly every month.

@frey8725 Lets be explicitly clear... they took his life because he assaulted one of them and attempted to steal a firearm from one of them. And Arbery was the first one to sling a fist... not any of these guys... a show of force is supposed to deter actions like this and prevent escalating violence by showing the other person you can't win... they also had already called and notified local LEOs to come before they confronted him. Basically.. if Arbery had not assaulted these 3 guys nothing would have happened to him, and he'd still be alive. Lets also be clear when talking amongs ones neighbors and there is a robber of known race.... breaking into houses, colorful words are likely to be throw around about various aspects of that person... but that doesn't mean you can draw a direct correlation between them shooting him and and thier predispositions. The core fact is .... arbery was suspected, arbery ran, arbery assaulted, and attempted to steal a weapon... and was then and only then shot. The other side of this is... these three guys were vigilant, communicated with LEOs about a suspicious individual... weren't hiding their weapons nor brandishing, and also have background in law enforcement... the idea that they were chasing him just to shoot him is also nonsense as they had plenty of opportunities to do that long before he attacked them.

@southpaw3199 The problem with that line of reasoning is that he didn't continue to run away... he turned around and attacked one of them first. You can argue it one way or another but he escalated the situation with that action... in any way you slice it the first crime committed in this case was either trespassing or assault... open carry, is legal, as is confronting someone you think may be committing a crime, you can also detain that person untill a LEO arrives... legally, this wasn't a murder, and this case was judged based on feelings. Had Arbery not been shot...there still wouldn't have been a crime committed in this case... and the shot itself was in self defense. As asinine as some of the things these guys said....they aren't illegal. If they were you'd have to throw a significant portion of every race in jail for thought crime. The fact remains that despite the words said by these guys... the first fist to make a blow was Arbery's.

@gwens5093 you know the guy that cyanide poisoned his kid for insurance money... he poisoned gave it to the neighbors kids too.... they found one kid in bed with it in his hand because he couldn't get it open. So, while I don't think the virus itself was political I do think it was turned into a political weapon. And not just in the USA.

Nobody wants the government to waste money by being shut down its really stupid. But its also dumb to have omnibus bills instead of smaller bills throughout the year.
