Even if both engines were gone, you can start the APU and have all power and hydraulics - yes, it takes a minute to start, but from problems with both engines to landing was much more than a minute. Even if you don't start it, you have battery power for 60 minutes. Even if all three hydraulics were gone, you have physical connections (ropes) to the flight surfaces on this plane and can steer and land it. So those two cases shouldn't be that serious. To me, the pilots did soo many major errors, it's strange. Usually, even on severe plane crashes, pilots do ONE big mistake and some minor ones. Here they did: - Didn't deployed landing gear (medium mistake) - Didn't used flaps (major mistake) - Didn't used speed brakes (medium mistake) - Didn't used thrust reversers (major mistake) - Didn't used wheel brakes (major mistake) - Landed 1200 meters behind beginning of runway (major mistake) - Flew faster than even with their non flaps config necessary (medium mistake)
