  1. I have never understood why the A380 should be that bad. The reasons doesn't seem right: Point to point makes a reduction of needed plane size of about 2.5 - yes. But the 747 in the 1970s were filled when passenger volumes were 1/7th of today, so when the 747 was great in the 70s, today we should see planes with 7/2,5 the size of a 747, so also much larger as the A380. Then the A380 is not that efficient. Well at least for airlines that already have A380s, its cheaper to use a bit less efficient airplane than scrap them and buy other planes. Then Chinas air travel is upcoming with large cities and large distances even domestically.
