Comments by "Delibro" (@Delibro) on "Why America’s Obsession With Race Feels Odd to Germans | Feli from Germany" video.
The German way of dealing with this issue in my opinion is better, cus Americans try to make races equal - while most Germans didn't even think there are races.

@WestleySherman Why the hell should we Germans think there are no Jews? Most of our history lessons in school are about the bad things Germany did to Jews in WW2. You just want to false understand, aren't you? Palestinean and Israel people are the same as in they are humans. They have different heritage etc. but that doesn't decide how they need to be treated. Only their actions are relevant to that. But as this conflict is much more intricate to be debated in the comments section.

Your right, I am very sorry for your losses and this is not excusable. But Germany stopped racism in 1945. When did the US stopped racism? Germany never had slaves, how many slaved died in the US?

@la_sn3ak3r19 What word of her sentence didn't you understood? "As a German, race was never a thing to me, all humans are the same"
2
@la_sn3ak3r19 I did read many comments of her, and her opinion is so normal among most Germans. You disregard the video and 95 % of her comments for the one comment there might be to misunderstand her.

@ChadAgain Completely wrong, in Germany people have ways to prove they're being discriminated and laws/courts helping them. The newspapers are full of such cases that sadly do happen - every country has their black sheep. People in Germany are outraged about people discriminating others. I did speak up a few times in my life when I saw/heard discrimination on the streets, and often you'll get backup from bystanders if needed. There are many campaigns in Germany since many decades to inform about and try to fight discrimination. Why claiming something if you clearly know exactly zero about it?

@WestleySherman It's hopeless, sounds like you can't grasp the concept that all human are equal and at the same time still do have different names and heritages. I already wrote that people should not be treated based on their heritage, now you insinuate me I favour collective racial punishment?? Of cause I meant "...only their individual actions are relevant..." (why put words in my mouth?) The title of this video is to accurate "America's obsession with race...".

@Blox117 So, you didn't understood the point of the video?
1
@la_sn3ak3r19 This is more American than anything I've read since years ...
1
That you didn't realized Hitler isn't still in power in Germany is diabolical.
1
@KhanAmigo1 So, you still have slaves in the US? You still have blacks sitting in busses in the rear? You still forbid interracial marriages? That's what you are saying about Germany.
1
The slaves being introduced hundreds of years ago was also the Democrats?
1
@jeffkardosjr.3825 Both stopped it. Or do you see the allies supervising the last 60 years?
1
@jeffkardosjr.3825 But this thread is about racism in Germany.
1
Thats true that diversity of races makes a country great. But that wasn't the topic of this video. You completely didn't understood it.
1
@Dhannibal01 The Holocaust survivors would be glad if there were no races because of which they were deported.

@TuBu-nd1qe I studied 5 years in Germany, I've never encountered a single time when a foreigner was treated different than a native. This applies to all professors and all exercise instructors and all students I encountered. But mine and your story are just anecdotes, we should not rely on anecdotes, but on studies. Studies say, that of cause there is racism in Germany, but the majority of Germans have the opinion that all are equal, and if there is racism in the streets people will call it out.
1
@TuBu-nd1qe There are two sorting options, "top comments" is default. If you choose the other you will get all comments. So you think YouTube Shorts are more relevant than studies? So you have a bigger problem in life. As I said, anecdotes are not relevant. If they are, I could say: "I stood up multiple times against racism". So if anecdotes count I could proof with that sentence that there is no racism in Germany. Of cause this is wrong, so only rely on studies. And they show: Of cause there is racism in Germany. But the majority of Germany are not only not racist, but will stand up against someone being racist.
1
@TuBu-nd1qe lol, so you still think that anecdotes are more relevant than studies? Or what is the point you don't agree with me? You'r right, no need to continue this conversation.

Adolf Hitler had millions killed, why should someone admire him?
1
Oh, you have no answer, that's why you think about something bevor writing.
1
@peterzavon3012 If you don't know someone's race, you can't discriminate against him until you meet him in person.
