  4. Oh wow, I spend much time in Berlin on business trips, many evenings strolling around Nollendorfplatz, just because my hotel was near there. Never knew of it being some sort of higher crime place, never saw anything there, felt safe. Feels good living in a country where you can feel that way.

  6. Genau, das ist sogar mir als Stuttgarter aufgefallen, wie das Berlinerisch richtig klingen müsste. Und den Tonfall hat er nirgends beachtet, das ist aber ein wichtiger Punkt bei den Dialekten, beim Bayrischen fällt das noch mehr auf.

  7. Well, those are the people that get kicked out first. Yes it's not that easy to fire workers in Germany, but there are ways and employers know them: find a small error in a travel expense report (Reisekostenabrechnung), termination of employment for operational reasons (betriebsgedingte Kündigung) for example.

  9. No, dialects are not your strength (mine neither!). You miss the different feelings and different acoustic colours/Klangfarben. Channel "Cossu Schwarzwaldbande" has many great shorts about dialects.
