  1. I have had three SLKs. A 230 r170, a 350 r171 and now a SLK55 r171. I have loved them all. Unfortunately, although I have always treated all the seals, all three have had water ingress in the boot which I can live with, with the help of strategically placed microfibre cloths! The r171 gearbox unfortunately is not designed to cope with inner city speed restrictions and tends to change down too frequently but on the open road, the car comes into its own. I love the v8 growl and the acceleration is phenomenal. You just don't see many slk55s on the road which makes you feel a bit special and it is a love affair for me. I love my SLK 55!!!
