  1. Hi Vann, Did I actually spot Mr. @ 11:42? That fallen tree was frightful. I wonder how much damage it would have done? Wood vs Steel??? Frankly, I like the spot that you chose. It appears to me, an naive armchair viewer, that you can get a lot more privacy at wild moorings where you may require a plank. I think I would value those. I at first thought that I may have caught you with your Canadian Nanny comment on the geese. I said Canada not Canadian. And then I looked up Canadian Nanny and realized that I was wrong, again. I haven't seen the old fan near the ice trick for years. My grandmother used to do that with a metal ice tray with cracking handle. I used to think that was a fools errand but I looked it up today and it is scientifically proven to cool a room. Thanks for making me look it up. PS- My wife's birthday is coming up, I would like to gift her a copy of your lovely journal. Any chance?

  2.  @themindfulnarrowboat  Vann, Thank you for the sincere reply. I'm shopping now for late August Birthday prep. No worries, the journal will wait until it's ready. Years ago ('82) I had a work assignment in San Francisco which is across the country from home. There was this young English girl that was on staff there and we used to kid about differences in language and she introduced me to her plimsolls and that stuck with me, so I decided to buy everything Brittish and I ordered a pair of plimsolls. Didn't know until now that they were named after 1890 s Dr Samuel Plimsoll. Additionally I purchased some magnetic canal medallions and a tiny model narrowboat from an online chandlery and a Crusing The Cut Tee. So, I made a good start so far. Do you have any other good ideas? You know Vann, You are a very positive glass half full person. I'm guessing in advance of watching the narrowboat vlogs that will be pissing and moaning about the heat. I somehow knew that you would not. PS: My central air conditioning has been running since the end of May. Sometimes I get cold at night.😜🤣
