I’d like to see some of these people do the most basic calculations using imperial units,when 12 pennies make a shilling,20 shillings make a pound or 16 ounces make a pound,14 pounds make a stone…….it’s outdated and ridiculous,let alone inaccurate.How much easier to simply say 10, 20, 30 etc.Perhaps the right-wing,tax-exile,millionaire,lying owners of the Telegraph would like to see farthings,halfpennies,penny’s and three penny bits reintroduced……..or are they outdated and ridiculous ? These people weren’t ‘martyrs’…….merely uneducated !
