  1. As a “war baby”,growing up in what was then,a newly built modern house,perhaps our grandchildren should learn some history ! Only 1 room had a coal fire,everywhere else was freezing.You scraped thick frost/ice off your b/room windows in a morning.If cold,you put on another jumper,everybody wore vests.In ‘47 the snow was 4ft/120cm deep. Stay warm !

  2.  @anonomous8719  People who have more money than sense ie those who buy bottled water rather than get it from the tap. It was the Tory Govt. who stopped on-shore turbines,solar subsidies but allows wood pellets to be imported from the USA.Logical ? They also loaned your taxes(+ guaranteed prices + 20yr contracts) to farmers to build anaerobic digesters,to produce electricity. Instead of growing food,farmers are growing maize to go in the digesters. Who needs a national energy policy when you use the peasants money to keep your rich,landed supporters happy,selling electricity back to them…..at a profit !!!
