Farming Today 19/4/21 We export potatoes because we grow so many.It is now costing growers £585,due to Brexit,whereas it only costs £160 to import them from the EU.As the farmer said,why would he grow and store them when it is so much cheaper to import.Yet another Brexit bonus and another reason why taxpayer will have to subsidise rich landowners........for cutting their hedges !!!
