  1. I can state with 100% accuracy as I have used them, that there are underground passages/tunnels in at least 4 UK hospitals that I have visited. They often have pipework for heating, they are used to move equipment and supplies, sometimes bed-bound patients & sometimes large trollies of food from kitchens to the wards, also to remove waste & transport laundry. It makes sense to avoid public corridors where possible & it is often quicker.

The Hollywood myth that all US soldiers were brave, decent, honourable. Just watch a recent video on YT where a 40-ish American man was unaware that there were 5 invasion beaches at Normandy, that it was not just "Utah" beach. The US has sanitised WW2 and many repeat the old worn out saying to Europeans that "You'd be speaking German if not for us". Sure we benefitted from "Lend Lease" but the UK only finished paying of the debt early this century. The weapons weren't given for free or at a discount. The US economy came out of the depression & got a huge boost being the "Arsenal of Democracy" & industry got another boost by the Marshall Plan. It was depressing for Sam Seder to mention Dresden, & the atomic bombs as if they were the only bad things to happen in WW2 a part from the holocaust. He clearly knows nothing of the USAAF firebombing of Japanese cities & that the Tokyo raids killed more people than either atomic bomb or both combined

People have been gaslighted to blame the foreigner, the immigrant for their problems when in fact it is a failure of government policies like "austerity" & the QE giving free money to banks after the financial crash of 2008 with no strings attached. This money was lent to "buy to let" private landlords who now cry about rising interest rates while putting up rents by 10%+. In some parts of the UK there are now 25 applicants for 1 rented property! Government has failed to build enough homes, as property developers drip-feed houses keeping the supply artificially low to maintain high prices. Government has failed to build enough social housing, leaving it to "the market" while maintaining the "right-to-buy" where tenants after 3 years can get a discount, that increases with time to 50%, to purchase the property thus removing it from the social housing pool. The list goes on with cuts to services & a labour shortage caused by BREXIT

It was Tony Blair that started the Balkanisation of the NHS & increased use of the private sector. The Tories have just continued to destroy its effectiveness to benefit private health care & its shareholders. They are allowing US companies to come in & take over the running of GP services. This is a 2 year old story from The Guardian "One of the UK’s biggest GP practice operators has quietly passed into the hands of the US health insurance group Centene Corporation, prompting calls for an official investigation into what campaigners claim is “privatisation of the NHS by stealth”. They are now trying to sell it at a profit.

Wages have not only been stagnant for 13 years but in real terms people are a 3rd poorer than 2008. Thatcher introduced tax relief on private health insurance, so for higher rate tax payers they got 40% discount. Only in recent years was the tax relief reduced to the basic rate. Osbourne abolished the nursing student grant & replaced it with a small bursary & forced student nurses to take out student loans. He also cut the number of training places for both nurses & doctors as the right-wing doctrine was that it was cheaper to recruit from oversea. Then Brexit happened with its obsession on cutting immigration & many foreign doctors & nurses left. Now rather than getting Europeans we are recruiting from Africa, India & The Philippines. Due to low pay & long hours in a stressful environment, newly qualified doctors are being persuaded to go to the US, Canada, Oz & NZ to work for higher salaries & a better work-life balance.
