A man walk by then stopped and asked for a private word with my brother, as the knew one another from a work course. It turned out he had just come out of prison. He had come home early and found his brother in bed with his wife. In a rage he ended his brother and tried to do the same to his wife but she survived. Some men will not take betrayal well.

  6. A friend emigrated to NZ with his GF. His career went well, hers didn't despite a bit more study. She was unhappy & wanted to return home. Despite no kids & her only putting in a very small amount to the mortgage, under NZ law, she took 50% of his stuff.

  7. 2 old stories to show things in the dating world have been bad for a long time and only getting worse. A friend emigrated to NZ with his girlfriend 20 years ago (about). After 3 or so years he's still in a high level job but she either hasn't worked or just studied a bit. She got homesick & wanted to move back home, he doesn't. So she gets a cash payout from him, the house back home and he has to rent out the 4 bed house in NZ as he can no longer afford the mortgage and move into a 1 bed apartment. He later got married to a woman from Thailand he met travelling there. Before that I had replied to an advert in a dating magazine. I get a phone message from the woman saying she really liked my letter with her phone number. Over 2 weeks I called about 5 times but only got her answer-machine, left friendly messages like sorry I haven't got to speak with you & maybe you are away on a business trip, never got a call back from her. The last time was to say to her I was off on holiday so would be out of reach. I returned to 2 messages: 1 from her to say I was sick in the head, I needed treatment, should never call her again and go away and die. 2nd was from a "lawyer friend" of hers telling me that if I didn't cease contact I would be sued for harassment and could lose my job!

  8. Had this with a past girlfriend. She was friends with her husband before marriage & they got together for financial reasons rather than being madly in love (at least on her part). Stayed friends with her ex and spoke on the phone regularly. She said to me, you should be friends with him, I'm thinking wtf! As there had been tales of how she didn't get on with her in-laws. I responded that I didn't want to be his friend and she was surprised and disappointed. Needless to say it didn't work out as she was an independent woman and I had to fit into her life.

  10. The woman problem for many, many years: I can be with a bad boy, Chad & I will be the one to change him. Then fast forward to black eyes, bruises, a disease or a child with another woman; I never thought he would treat me like that. I thought Stella was cute, maybe the lack of a bra the discovered she only want Chad or Tyrone. Watched some of Courtney's video and a lot of the advice is, dress smart (suit or jacket), use after shave, be well groomed (including manscaping or waxing the back etc) to her preference, manicured. All superficial stuff. Then look up her boyfriend, Teddy Baldassare.

  12. FYI about the "bunny boiler", the judge has by law to give her a 50% reduction in sentence due to the guilty plea and a further reduction due to her "mental health" issues. Meanwhile the ex-boyfriend gets nothing for his distress, loss of job and income plus he will still be looked at askance by some who will say he provoked her.

  14. Back in the day I knew a young woman who lived in my building. She met a man at a church they both attended & got married before too long. Within a couple of years he got ill & it affected his brain & his personality changed as a result ( more irritable & less caring). Despite the Christian wedding vows of "in sickness & in health", she divorced him in the blink of an eye.

  17. A similar thing in UK: banks still running mainframe computers from the 1960's & early 70's that use the FORTRAN programming language. Trouble is no one has learnt that since circa 1990 thus when the had problems in recent years they had to call on 70+ year old men to come in & fix things. The banks make billions but they won' upgrade their computer systems they just bolt on new stuff & try & overcome the compatibility issues. If the system crashes it is a bit FU to the customers who can't access the online accounts, payments are not made &/or the ATM's stop working for 3 or 4 days.

  20. Singapore it is illegal to chew gum. The police in any Arab country will not tolerate bad behaviour. There is no 1st Amendment that says you can call them a Mofo or other swear words. If there is a problem between you & a citizen of the country i.e. Dubai, it is 100% certain that the police will agree with their fellow national first & you have an up hill battle to prove you are right & they are wrong.   31. My math may be wrong but here goes. 23 -16 = 7 years divided into 36 is about 5 guys a year if no long term BF. So that is a new guy about every 10 weeks. That doesn't suggest commitment. Or another way a steady BF from 16 to 20 thus in 3 years 35 men, so 1 a month. Outcome is either don't sleep around or don't be honest that you sleep with most Chads you meet.

  32. In UK there use to be a taxi company with only women drivers for women only passengers. It only last about 5 years before it went broke as there were too many women happy to be driven by men. There has also been a campaign for women only carriages on the London Underground(subway). That is turning the clock back 150 years to the early days of the railways! So far no success as who will enforce it? On the railways the can't stop people playing music and bringing noisy kids in to the "quiet coach". Surely this should fail under sex discrimination laws?

  49. 5 odd years ago I went out for a meal with a younger woman I worked with. At the end in the car park we were going our separate ways, I leant in closed my eyes & pursed my lips & she gave me a quick peck. Next day she was all weird about me kissing her, I pointed out that she kissed me! I was the one in the wrong according to her 🙄 3some woman could easily have got buyers remorse & accused the 2 men of taking advantage of her & because they couldn't speak English that would mean they were guilty.

  50. Riley followed the usual 🌽 path of doing more & more extreme stuff. Never liked the string of tattoos down her spine. She has regret but is not seeking to turn her life around. Won't quit & work in a women's or animal shelter, help the homeless etc. Will be alone in a big house rather than downsize & travel or go back to school to do something with more meaning & value. At the end of the day it has been about her looks, baubles & superficiality.
